Terms of Use

Last updated: July 2026

Otiate (“the Service”) is owned and operated by Jonathan Ramakrishna (“the Owner”). By accessing or using the Service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, text, prompt engineering, rubric encodings, and the structure and arrangement of its features, is the copyright of the Owner. © 2026 Jonathan Ramakrishna. All rights reserved. Except as expressly permitted below, you may not copy, reproduce, redistribute, scrape, reverse-engineer, create derivative works from, or use any part of the Service to train or evaluate machine-learning systems, or to build a competing product.

2. Permitted use

Teachers may use the Service to generate materials for their own teaching, and may reproduce and adapt the generated materials for use with their own classes. Generated materials may be shared within your school for educational purposes. Commercial resale or systematic redistribution of generated materials is not permitted without the Owner’s written consent.

3. Third-party materials

The Service references publicly known Singapore curriculum and examination conventions. Syllabus documents, examination papers and marking guides remain the property of their respective owners (including MOE, SEAB and Cambridge). The Service is independent and is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, MOE or SEAB. You are responsible for ensuring your own use of any third-party source texts complies with copyright law.

4. AI-generated content

Materials are generated by artificial intelligence and may contain errors. They are drafts for professional review, not finished instruments of assessment. A qualified teacher must review all materials before classroom use. Marks and feedback produced by the Marking Wizard are advisory and must be moderated before being recorded or reported.

5. Student data

Do not upload personally identifiable student information. Remove or mask names, index numbers, and class and school identifiers before uploading student work. Uploaded content is transmitted to third-party AI infrastructure for processing and is not retained by the Service beyond processing.

6. No warranty; limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Owner is not liable for any loss arising from use of the Service or reliance on generated materials.

7. Changes

These terms may be updated from time to time; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore.
